Wheel motion tracking sensor

Wheelchair sport

Record, analyze, and share your wheelchair sports performance metrics

Two sensors on your wheels. Every push, every turn, every metre, measured.

Prasidh Arora, who founded Push for Gold, at the USTA Adult & Junior National Championships. The PFG sensor and case are rendered, not photographed.

What gets measured

Your chair has been telling you everything. Nobody was listening.

Wheelchair sport has never had a metric of its own. The chair moves, and that movement is performance — it was simply never read. Push for Gold reads it.

The measurement

One hundred readings a second, from both wheels.

100 HzBoth sensors stream at a hundred readings a second, with the phone locked.
2One sensor per rear wheel. Two is what makes turning, heading and balance knowable.
4 hrsA session can run four hours. If a sensor drops out it reconnects itself.
9Sports, from tennis and basketball to pickleball, badminton and the daily roll.

In the app

Every number comes from the wheels.

Nothing is filled in where the sensors could not read. Gaps stay gaps.

The Push for Gold overview screen for a tennis session, showing duration, distance, top speed and takeaways.
The session, at a glance. Headline numbers first, then what to work on.
The Push for Gold analysis screen showing turning: 352 left turns, 268 right, 173 U-turns, 48 spins, a 63 to 37 percent left-right split, and a speed chart.
352 left. 268 right. An imbalance you cannot feel mid-point, counted.
The Push for Gold community feed: an evening roll by Prasidh Arora with duration, distance, moving time, top speed and the recorded path, with kudos and comment buttons.
Share it, or don't. Followers see the same analysis you do, not a cut-down page.

Only recorded wheel motion is shown. Pushes are inferred from wheel acceleration, not measured hand contact or force. Gaps stay gaps rather than being filled, speed is not a power or fitness measurement, and court positions are estimates. Where elite values appear they are context from years of training, not a target.

Start where you are

The most you can get from the tools you already own.

Mount a single AirPod near the hub and Push for Gold records rotations, RPM and speed for that wheel. It is a real way to start, and an honest one: a single sensor cannot know what the other wheel did. Turning, heading, path, left-against-right balance and the court-movement analysis all need the kit.

What it costs

$50 for the kit. The app is free.

The sensors are the only thing you pay for, once. Nothing in the app is held back behind a payment and nothing is counted against you.
